The book made me think differently about giving people a second chance. I found I pitied A, and wanted him to stand up for himself, but at the same understood why he was only a follower and never a leader.

But it is not easy for him to adjust and this too opens up a wide range of thoughts of the reader. This sounds like an emotional and tough read but also a really interesting one. All of the characters come jonathsn as real without any defined “evil”, or at least leaving this up to interpretation. There is the young girl that Jack saves from the car accident that kills her father. Stats are a dangerous thing. I feel like there is no point to trigll novel. I cared about Boy A instantly, and my sympathy towards him just kept growing as I kept reading which, considering his background, is a sign of some first-class writing!
